My Trip to Jail

Usually, it’s the decisions that I make quickly and then act upon them that are my best decisions. This telling will emphasize how a recent weekend (09/10/21 – 9/13/21) will have forever changed my life.
I live in an area that is not completely rural but doesn’t have much going on either. I live right off of an interstate and can be in Boston in a couple hours, NYC is a 5-hour bus ride away, Manchester airport is an hour and a half away, so I can get to places. But where would I go? I absolutely hate going somewhere alone. Now don’t misunderstand, I can travel alone but it’s the destination. I need someone to force me to do new things. I am so passive that I have let the world pass me by for the past 45 years. I failed to take risks and really take that leap of faith. The only way I can rationalize it is that anxiety and depression have owned my emotions all of my life.

Remembering Harold Cox
Harold Cox passed away on September 8, 2021. Among his many accomplishments, he was a founder of the Delta organization and a founder and owner of the L.U.R.E. bar in New York City. For many years he was the editor of Checkmate magazine.
Harold was a collector of handcuffs and knew how to use them. He mentored countless men over many decades, myself included. I was among many men who were lucky enough to spend time locked in Harold’s chains, behind bars in one of his many jail cells!
He was a military veteran, and he was a college professor. He loved opera.
He is survived by his longtime partner, Bob.
On a personal note, Harold was one of the primary influencers in my own journey. He locked me up in metal many, many times over the years. He inspired me to launch the Metalbond site, and he often encouraged me to keep this website going.
I have so much love and respect for this man.

One day Ted and Blake were ordered to a large area in the center of the new camp. They saw other prisoners naked and washing while guards sprayed them with water from hoses.
They were told to strip and throw their clothes in the trash barrels provided. Again their hair and beard were cut, as they had regularly been. Soon their turn came they were sprayed with cold water and given soap to wash. After that they were sprayed with an insecticide and washed again. It was humiliating being naked in a group being sprayed with water. The water was very cold – but in the end they were glad to be clean at last.
After they finished washing, they were then led naked over to the paved area, where there were trucks parked and tents erected. The trucks were backed up to the tents and prisoners were being issued new uniforms.

Flanked by boring concrete walls, Luke had to try and find new and interesting ways to keep himself active that was not touching himself – the hologram that now formed the ceiling of the cell bore this very commandment, among other warnings that safewords are not in play, that any attempts to escape or pleasure oneself would result in the swift application of extremely strict and punishing bondage, and that excretion of waste matter would be automatically enforced for him.
Luke was no philosophist, but he was at least aware of the fact that if he wanted to truly escape, he would have to first escape digitally by countering the super-powerful software that knew his every thought, then escape physically by getting his naked body out of whatever shackles that held him.
In short: “difficult” was the word.
